€700k passport scam: Alexander Bespalov ripped off clients offering citizenship and fled to Thailand

The one who sold «powerful passports» received over 60 million from Russians and went to Thailand.
Dozens of Russians dreamed of a second — citizenship from Italy and Greece to exotic Paraguay, Serbia and Moldova. All for the sake of visa-free travel and local bank cards. «Dream trader» Alexander Bespalov collected almost 60 million rubles from clients and left for Thailand.
As the victims told «Base», the scheme worked as follows: clients brought in 85,100 thousand euros, sometimes in crypto. Agreements were more often drawn up for individual entrepreneurs by Bespalov’s wife — Irina. After this, the series «began, the process goes according to plan»: bureaucracy, rescheduling, and at the end — is completely ignored.
At least 11 victims are now known. Their requirements — are more than 700 thousand euros. The clients themselves are sure that this is only part of the story; many still do not know about each other. They are now preparing a collective statement to the police.
One of the victims is already suing the financier’s wife over 10 million rubles for a Greek passport. He won the first instance in absentia, but the defendant managed to appeal the decision.
Bespalov himself continues to call himself an international consultant with many years of experience and manage Bespalov Finance. He also still offers citizenship and residence permit services. From Thailand. Where, apparently, he had no problems moving.
In a conversation with «Base», Bespalov rejected accusations of fraud and stated that these were the machinations of ill-wishers. He said that most of the claims were caused by increased service delivery times due to changes in migration procedures and regulations. According to Bespalov, disputes with individual clients are resolved legally, and some of them have had their money returned. He also called allegations that «is hiding in Thailand» fake, saying that he continues to conduct international activities and regularly participates in specialized events in Russia and abroad.
