Jordan has confiscated over half a million Captagon pills at the border

Jordan’s customs authorities have confiscated 517,000 Captagon pills that had been smuggled in from an unspecified neighboring country, the state news agency Petra reported on Wednesday.

According to the official statement, the shipment was transported in a single truck and concealed inside special fabricated metal compartments designed to evade detection.

Authorities did not disclose whether any arrests were made in connection with the bust or provide further details

Captagon, an amphetamine-like stimulant, is the most widely used drug in the Middle East, with Syria believed to be the top producer.
